Smart grid

Intelligent network is a distribution network and related IT and telecommunications technologies, integrating in an intelligent way the activities of electricity market participants (manufacturers, distributors and recipients). Thanks to this, it is possible to improve the reliability and efficiency of deliveries as well as the greater involvement of recipients in energy production. Energy efficiency is also growing.

Smart city

The Smart city project is a pilot implementation of Intelligent Energy Network by the ENERGA Capital Group in Toruń. Investment activities covered m.on. modernization of lighting controlled by a dedicated teleinformation system, automation of the distribution network and preparation of AMI metering infrastructure as well as development and testing of new products and tariffs for customers.

Energy storage

The first 0.75 MW and 1.5 MWh energy storage facility in Poland was built and commissioned in the vicinity of Puck in Pomerania by Energa-Operator. The construction of a local balancing area is an element of increasing the safety and energy efficiency of the company's distribution system. There is plans to build another energy store.

Electric mobility

The ENERGA Group has made available for electric car users charging points that are located in the Tri-City. The operator of the charging network is Enspirion Sp. z o.o. (a company of the ENERGA Group).

As part of its R&D&I projects, the Energa SA Group cooperates with numerous scientific entities, including: the Energy Institute in Gdańsk, Warsaw University, Gdańsk University of Technology, War-saw University of Technology, the Fluid-Flow Machinery Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the University of Varmia and Masuria, the Science and Technology Park in Gdańsk and the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park.
